Hello, Families and Students of NASNM! Although regular classes are out for spring break next week, NAS campus will be open March 17th-20th, from 9am to 2pm, for students to get support for failed Q3 classes. Monday's session will be in classroom 9, Tuesday's session will be in classroom 8, Wednesday and Thursday sessions will be in Classroom 11. Students should report directly to the classrooms as the front office will be closed for the break. Semester Report cards have been mailed home! Have a wonderful Spring Break! Regular classes resume March 24th.

Hello, NAS Families,
Due to the severe dust storm we are experiencing, NAS is under a shelter in place until further notice. Students will be kept inside during release for their health and safety. If picking up your student, tell the staff member outside who you are here for, and they will come out to you. Students who walk after school will be held unless parents come for them or parents call the school and give permission to release their child into the weather. If you have questions, please contact the school at 505-222-4360.

Hello, NASNM Families,
Did you know? We have so many free resources available for families of NASNM, in our Family Resource room. Along with the basics, such as school supplies, clothing, shoes, and non-perishable food items, we also have home goods such as laundry detergent, personal hygiene/bath items, cosmetics, and over-the counter vitamins! Just in time for the cold and flu season! The family resource room is open before and after school each day, and on Fridays. For more information, please contact Ms. Talia Montoya at 505-222-4369, or email at tmontoya@nasnm.org.

Good morning New America families! Due to extremely low temperatures and a wind chill below zero, NAS-NM will be operating on a 2 hour delay today with classes beginning at 10:20. Students will still be testing today during Advisory, so we encourage you to bundle up and be there when school starts. We are aiming for 100% participation on testing and will be offering incentives to the classes who reach their goal!

Hello, students and Families of NAS-NM. Due to forecasted extremely low temperatures and possible icy conditions, NAS-NM will be on a 2-hour delay tomorrow, Friday, January 10, 2025. Tomorrow is a remote student SEL day, and all students have already been given a task in their Advisory classes this week that needs to be completed at home to receive credit. School offices will open at 10:00 am for business as usual, if any students need assistance with the work assigned for tomorrow, or any other assignment. Please stay warm during this cold snap!

NAS Campus will be open from 9am-2pm for Winter Break support on:
December 23rd, 24th, 30th and January 2nd. Students can come in for additional support on these days and work towards Semester credit if it was not earned!
All students will receive new schedules for Spring semester. Schedules can be picked up January 6th and 7th. Classes resume January 8th! Have a safe and wonderful Winter Break. We will see you in January!

NAS Families! It is just about time for our holiday gift giving celebration! Please Join us for a Toy/Gift Giveaway event at the front of our campus for our students and famIlies. We will be here today from 4-7pm. We hope to see you soon!

Families, just a reminder that our school day begins at noon tomorrow. Students will dismiss at 4pm for the Toy Drive which will run from 4-7:30 and the Winter Formal from 7:00-10:00. We hope to see you there!

Good afternoon families! We are halfway through the grading period and your students grades are current in PowerSchool.
All users will need to reset their PowerSchool App Passwords, log out, and log back in to receive the most updated grades and notifications. https://nasnm.powerschool.com/guardian/home.html

Let's join together for a day of giving, celebrating, and being thankful. Students, Staff, and Families are encouraged to bring in any of the non-perishable items listed on the flyer to help NAS families who may be in need this Thanksgiving season. All donations need to be collected by 11/21/24. Families can drop donations off in the office or can send them with their student to drop off with their advisors. Advisory classes will be competing to see who can bring in the most donations.
If you are in need of a Thanksgiving box, please stop by the office or contact your student's advisor to let them know.

School has been cancelled today due to inclement weather. Stay safe and warm!

September 11, 2024
We sincerely ask that all parents and students attend our Annual Title I meeting as part of our Fall Family Night. The New America School-New Mexico currently receives almost $105,000 to be utilized for student instruction through the Title I program. This is a very important meeting that helps drive our instructional program for the school. During the course of this meeting, the topics we will be covering are:
· Parent notifications-what are they? Why are they important?
· What is Title I and how does our school qualify for Title I?
· What kind of services does Title I offer to schools and how does our school use those funds?
Family Engagement
What can Title I Family Engagement funds be used for?
Our Family Engagement budget comes from the 1% set aside of the District Title I allocation
