NAS is currently accepting student applications for grades 9-12. This includes any student who has completed 8th grade, and is at least 14 years of age. Adult students (over the age of 18), who have not completed the 8th grade, or who have never attended high school, please make an appointment to meet with Administration or the Guidance Counselor, for individualized attention to make sure your educational needs are met.

The New America School is the ONLY comprehensive high school in New Mexico that accepts adult students who have not earned a high school diploma (from a US high school), and adult students who have earned a G.E.D., but still desire a high school diploma.

Applications may be picked up between 7:00 am-7:00 pm from the administrative office. All paperwork must be complete to be considered enrolled for the 2011-2012 school year. Within 30 days, all paperwork must be complete.

The New America School-New Mexico is a public charter high school dedicated to serving a unique population - recent immigrants and English Language learners. She is a South Valley native and a long-time education expert in the area. She is the former principal of Bernalillo High School.
